5 Years On. No Service in Ireland

    It will be 5 years ( in March) since ADSL2 and ADSL2+ were standardised.

    5 years later we still have no ADSL2 services from eircom .

    SB, I definitely agree with you that it has taken too long (and thanks for the link to the White paper).

    I do have some good news on that front - I understand that eircom is in the process of getting approval from Comreg to launch a 12Mbps Bitstream product based on ADSL2+. It will be limited at first to the main exchanges in Dublin, but they do expect to be extending this to other areas of the country over the coming months.

    So better late than never I guess.
