Suitable hat for under a helmet ?

Was out at the weekend and had to wear a woolly hat under my cycling helmet due to the risk of my big ears freezing over. It was all a bit tight and bulky so I am looking for something a bit thinner that will do the job. probikekit has a number of 'team winter hats' - could someone please tell me if these designed to be worn under helmets ?

No, I don't think so, too bulky. I swear by these. Light, warm, fits under helmet no messin'.:)

the bib goes right down your top which is great, hugs really well. The head area is thinner material so a helmet will easily fit on.

i got these from my sister when she was in new york.. have a search around the net, you might find them cheap somewhere. they're very light, keep the ears warm and you can still hear everything. the band goes behind under the back of the helmet.

Check out Norwegian company Brynje. I have a hat that fits under my helmet and a couple of thermal vests that work well.
