Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I missed the race.

Please don't tell me he was given a terrible ride

Think you may have figured that! Started 5l behind the race of the field (beaten 1l), couldnt settle the horse, then inexplicably mid race made a move from last to first, then got out stayed on the run in, with the jock as weak as a kitten

    Terrible would be very kind.
Genuinely one of the most horrible rides.

Thanks for the tip though was defo the best horse in the race.

Aw Christ. I am so raging. That genuinely was the worry from the stable- the jockey.

And I got a PM from someone on here earlier who owns a horse. They had received two phone calls today about that horse, he's obviously well thought of.

    I just watched it.

I think I broke two of my knuckles, from furiously smashing them into the wall. I can't believe how well he travelled, let sizing gold go by him, then he looked like someone on one of those bucking bulls while trying to whip the horse

In fairness, McCoy was on the fav, and we were on the second fav, I knew what I was getting myself into as it looked a 2 horse race on paper. She was never gonna beat him in a finish, I recognised that before I bet, that was the chance.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,016 ✭✭✭Hulk Hands

Had the same horse backed myself, but managed to trade out at 1.36 luckily enough. No matter how sweetly she was travelling, as soon as I seen it was her vs McCoy I said bye bye

.... am I alone in thinking she should have made an effort to pass him much sooner? I'm a huge McCoy fan btw.

    One for Saturday.

3.50 Gowran Park Around The Clock finished 2nd in a maiden hurdle over xmas and is expected to go one better on Saturday.

This horse runs tomorrow in the first race at Gowran tomorrow. Last run was to bad to be true. Havent heard anything from connections yet. Will find out in the morning..

Edit: Around the Clock Non Runner..

    Anyway two for tomorrow.

First is MITCHELL'S WAY in the 2.50 at Ayr. Got word from connections that this horse should be thereabouts. Step up in trip and first run in a handicap tomorrow. Should be an EW price.

    Edit: MITCHELL'S WAY non runner..

Second is PADDY THE STOUT in the 2.45 at Gowran. Finished 2nd in a maiden hurdle at Fairyhouse last time at 66/1. The winner of that race disappointed next time when sent off a well backed 5/4 fav for a novice chase at Navan last Saturday. But the third placed horse primroseandblue came out and won a maiden at Clonmel yesterday. Connections expect a decent run. Downside is that the stable hasnt had a winner in nearly a year. Plus side is the horse will be a decent EW price.

Was told from a reliable source a few weeks back gorgeous sixty was Mullins best chance in a handicap this week-it was as big as 20/1 at the time-the money appears to be going on now!!!
