Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. I was told to back DRAGO in the 7 45 at Wol,not much of a surprise to hear it is well fancied but it is no harm to hear it is really well fancied.

WITH PLEASURE runs in the same race for DRAGO'S trainer and is a huge price at 33/1, I am not expecting the horse to be involved in the finish but am hoping to see something that catches my eye as a friend of mine is setting up a racing club and is thinking of leasing this horse to run for the club and I am going to be a member.

Won for Simon Crisford and will be well handicapped for 2017 but I would not want it to go TOO well today unbacked.

WITH PLEASURE ran well today when 1/2 a length 2nd at 33/1,i am hoping the racing club that intend to lease this horse for 2017 will be set up and if anyone is interested in becoming a member pm me and I will pass on details when available.

I am on WINTER LION in the 8 30 Dundalk at 10s since last night, dropping back in trip he will stay up with the pace and may well go to the front early and kick on,in good form and trying for his life he should go well.

I will have a saver on VENEZIA 12/1 who has been running over hurdles mainly but ran ok when 2nd to WINTER LION lto over 2 miles but I remember when he won a 10 and half furlong handicap in Dun off a mark of 89 and ran a good 4th in Ascot off the same mark, runs off 77 tonight.

While WINTER LION will be going from the front VENEZIA will be held up and the race could be set up for him.VENEZIA will probably have the race run to suit and if at his best will be a big danger.

TIPS! at times I think we should not listen,i got a little back when my form fancy ran on to be third and WINTER LION just did not perform.

I'd say if you added up your points profit/loss on the Tips vs Fancies thread you'd be miles and miles ahead on the fancies.

Probably, and normally form is the only reason I will bet on a horse and on reflection the race was of a pretty good standard and WINTER LION was running over a trip that is probably short of his best.

However I know the connections and they have sometimes put a winner my way.I did not do too much cash and doubled my money on the "saver" to reduce my losses and to make matters worse the same connections give IMPRESARIO a chance in the 12 55,a chase worth more than 21 grand to the winner at Fairyhouse when he is going to try to make all.

Maybe we should ignore the tips thread and concentrate on solid form chances.

totally agree, I think I am at the point now as well

    form, conditions, bloodline,
but mostly form..except where a horse that hasn't won for 3 years and not even been placed suddenly beats your carefully picked selection :(

Been told Chevalier 17.55 Thursday Chelmsford is the one to be on. Already been clipped a couple of points since teatime. 11/2 still available.

It is a good race and CHEVALLIER has run 3 good races on the trot and has only gone up 1 lb,4 horses are closely grouped together on form,Chevallier,Pactolus,Loyalty and Quaffel in no particular order could have the race between them and if Chevallier is held up off a fast pace he could be good enough,i might do 24 tri-casts for small money.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,723 ✭✭✭zimmermania

I invested €24 in the tri-cast,had the 2nd 3rd and 4th and my other selection finished 6th,but I got no money!!

Mrs D A Love, the owner of dawn shadow, 3:20 fairyhouse tomorrow, expects it to win...currently 6-1 and worth a small e/w imo

King's Theatre filly out of Corskeagh Shadow.
Sister to point winner Fleet Commander. Dam, bumper winner, sister to useful hurdler/fair chaser (stayed 2½m) Shadow Eile.

unraced horse, could be anything, just passing it on

The owner of BRAIZE told me the horse is fancied today, the top weight would not catch the eye normally though the young pilot is thought to have a bright future.

I put a few quid ew on at 16/1 as the owner is sound enough.

Been told to back War Department tomorrow in the 3 05 Kempton 9-1 currently
Sky are paying 4 places so worth a small e/w although I wont be going big on it
Make of what you will, but connections are quite reliable

Been in good form in recent starts, latest when second of 13 in handicap at Southwell (7f) 15 days ago, running on. Blinkers back on and has to enter calculations.

Interesting tip Sgt,the horse has been running well but I had him down as one that is still too high in the weights.
Last win was off 70 and has crept back up to 83 but I wish you luck and if my fancy for the race does not win I hope yours does.

I'm actually going for e/w money as I kinda agree with you and dont expect it win, but it does have a good jock on board with a 50% strike rate and tries blinkers and hasnt been beaten more than 2 lengths in last 3 starts and likes the a/w.

Im actually having a lean spell myself as I am changing my method and getting more into bloodlines and be more selective on courses and distances. and trying to move away from evens faves to something more interesting and fun and challenging. Its a good game trying to beat the bookies
A few ones I havent posted on here have come close so I will carry on

    good luck with yours!
