@ Zaph - sorry I didn't recognise you should I have? I've been out of Cabinteely for almost 20 years so hardly surprising that I didn't.

Not necessarily, as I mentioned you just looked a lot like someone who lived near me there, although I haven't seen her in years. They say everyone has a double, it would be funny if your's was just down the road from you. :D

Glad everything is going so well with Sarah, I can't imagine how difficult a time it must be for you guys.

Hi All, Sarah got home this afternoon after a long wait for one medication (yes the Viagra) in the hospital. Nothing happens fast in there

She was wrecked when she got home and quite sore as pain relieve has been cut back quite a bit. She had a feed and a sleep and then up again this evening. Her sister was to stay with her Dad this evening just to give Hex a night at home to settle in. Needless to say that did not work out and she's now home to. Hex is glad to have them all under one roof again though.

She didn't get much sleep last night only about three hours in the hospital, it's not a place that brings sleep on easily.

Thanks to everyone from all of us for their good wishes, we all appreciate it. Sarah is back at her GP on Thursday to get the stitches removed from where her chest drain was. The other stitches are under the skin and will disolve in time. The wound is exposed and quite big, larger than the surgeon had led us to believe just before surgery, but it's clean and doesn't appear to have any redness. It'll have to be kept an eye on it as infection is the last thing she needs but as of now the prognosis is brilliant and a full recovery is expected.

Well it's two weeks since Sarah got out of hospital. She's been fine, making steady progress. Her wound is healing nicely and has escaped infection. There was one scare on Monday when she developed a temperature and seemed to be in some pain. Crumlin advised to treat the temperature and if it couldn't be controlled to bring her in. Thankfully got the temperature under control and was able to keep it down. She seems to have a cold but is fine apart from that.

She has pulmonary hypertension and it won't be clear until her six week check if the PDA Closure has brought that down, but fingers crossed as if not it's quite serious as it if it cannot be brought under control it will mean it will shorten her already shortened life expectancy.

Thanks again for all the good wishes :)
