"Gangsta" Theme

Hi, my work are having the xmas party in a couple of weeks and its a 40's gangsters theme. Can anyone recommend what to wear(for a male), where to get it, or how much it'll cost?

Try to get a suit with very wide lapels.
A wide rimmed hat.

Look in second hand stores in whichever town you're in.

Get a navy/black pinstripe suit, a tribley hat (like the ones justin timberlake etc wears, can get them in Zara), red silk hankerchief for the suits front pocket, and throw in a cane and a toy gun, sorted!

well, the biggest cost could be the suit, unless you have one of your own or you could borrow one??
Otherwise, a cheap one in Penny's or a 2nd Hand Shop could be about 20/30 euros, or a better quality in Marks & Sparks, Zara, Next etc could be about 100/150 euros, really depends on how much you want to spend and if you'll ever wear it again.

Silk Hankerchief: about €5-10 in Tie Rack or M&S
Tribly Hat: about €10-15 in Zara, H&M, River Island etc
Toy Gun: about €3/4 in a toy shop

Also, you could wear the suit with a black shirt and white tie, looks very gangsta, you could get both of those in any menswear shop, e.g. Dunne, M&S, River Island etc, again approx €30/40 for both, but again, depends on how much you want to spend!

Ok i'm thinkin: pinstripe suit, with black shirt, white tie, white waistcoat and of course the trilby. Do people think this will work well??
