    Hi,

Just wondering if anyone can give me advice on what my best option would be for a new broadband connection. I cannot receive wireless where I live in South Dublin; my only option is to reconnect an exciting phone line that was in the house when I moved in. I can’t see myself using the phone line at all only for the broadband connection. The line rental seems to be steep on a few of the providers I have looked at. Looking for a 2mg connection.

    Cheers

If you're lucky enough to be able to get Smart - go for them! Cheapest and best.
You may have to get Eircom to reconnect the line though.

If you cannot get Smart - I guess Eircom, as all the other DSL providers are in and around the same price

Where abouts do you live? Service varies greatly depending on the area. If you have cable TV from NTL you could get their broadband if Smart is available I would go for that though you will need Eircon to reconnect the line.

Check out www.switchandsave.ie - choose dsl from the drop down menu. Unfortunately callcosts.ie do not compare by location
