Seriously it is amoral to say the least that they could be making financial gain out of this and i did say about 2 months ago in the McCann thread that it would only bea matter of time before the film comes out , it wasn't surprising really ,but as far as i can tell it will be done in the same style documentry as the one that was made about the guy who got stuck up in the andes mountains and survived .

It released in the U.S. back in October, but its release in the U.K. had been pushed back due to the Madeleine McCann disappearance, yes.

But you appear to be incorrect:

So you won't need a new BD player.
Old players will just not get the new discs new features.
New players will be able to play the old discs fine as well.

Got nothing to do with standard DVD players nor recorders though.
