Would BBQ sauce be a vegan alternative for mayo at delis?

I ususally go to Blazing Salads for lunch stuff and load up on spring rolls and their amazing selection of salads.

I think BBQ sauce is usually ok.

Recently I've been making some sandwiches with brown sliced bread, dubliner cheese slices, relish (ballymaloe country relish) and lettuce. Simple but tasty
