Junction is back for 2008 with more techno madness down at The Cavern. This year promises to be our busiest yet with a mixture of international acts and home grown talent to blow you away!

To kick off the New Year in style we have called in one of Dublin’s techno legends Mr Joe McGrath who promises to damage the place with one of his roaring dj sets.

Also on the bill is Eddie Brennan whom in 2007 built up his reputation as one of the best on the dj circuit along with a nominee for best dj at the Irish DMA’s.

Electronic Ireland’s Paudi Ahern will be down for his Junction debut, well known for his electro trickery and winner of the UCC dj competition 2007.

Support on the night comes from Andreas Hassler who has played for us many times before and we are looking forward to seeing the man spin some uber cool tracks on the night.




Joe McGrath

Joe first laid hands on a set of decks eleven years ago, and has never looked back.
His first residency was at the now notorious Genius, in the Kitchen and that Tuesday nightclub was a milestone in Irish clubbing history. On a night when the doors of Dublin’s clubs were firmly shut, Genius was regularly drawing crowds of up to a thousand techno nutters. In 2000, Joe took the next step and started Damage at Switch, which ran for three great years with loads of Irish act's and international guests. Secret Cinema recorded a live cd there, Claude Young packed the house and well, it just rocked.... During all this madness Joe also got around to djing with Jeff Mills, Dave Clarke, Richie Hawtin, Stacey Pullen and a heap of others.



Eddie Brennan

Eddie Brennan is one of Dublin’s best known and most in demand techno djs. He is resident at Ireland’s foremost techno club - Electric City and also resident at Bodytonic’s Pogo club in Tripod. His unique, energetic and adventurous dj sets incorporating all the latest gadgets including samplers, foot pedals and more, always ensures a fresh and original sound…



Paudi Ahern

Electronic Ireland found hidden treasure early last year in the form of Paudi Ahern’s djing talent, and while having won 3 dj comps previous to this (Kerry, Limerick and Cork), he still remained under the radar for a time. With his skills and unreal technical ability he has since gone on to guest regularly at a number of clubs around the country and become resident at Schmutzig in Cork.
