Haven't listened to it yet, but you're better off recording a mix that's at least 60 mins long (unless you're doing something seriously groundbreaking in those 14 mins...) try to take it on a bit of a journey, maybe start off with your idea of warm up stuff an move into peak time material gradually.
Whatever you do, don't start and finish without adjusting the tempo at all!

I know yeah its short! I was just messing around trying to get it recording really. Will work on a longer one and post it soon.

The reason I'm suggesting this is I downloaded xdeletiax's set and it took ages to download. After downloading I found it really wasn't my cup of tea - which is not to say it's not good now, I'm just using it as an example. Next time I may not bother if I don't recognise any tracks.

Surely people are posting mixes here so others will listen to them. I just reckon it might encourage people to listen to more mixes if they have some notion of what it is they're in store for..........

Yeah I agree - it would help to include what genre and any other info.

Absolutely - inspired me to listen to 'Voltage Control' again this morning, stunning and hugely underrated album by Gabriel.

And yeah the new Reagenz album is brilliant, took me feckin about two months to track down a copy on CD... well worth it.

Mixcloud has a 100mb limit which is ridiculous, you would have to encode at 128 to get a full mix under 100mb and that just sucks

That's annoying alright, mine's up there at 128, but it says on my soundcloud that I've only got 30 minutes of upload left (after 2 mixes), which is even more annoying.

Yea for newer members of SoundCloud you have a 2 hour limit. If you joined earlier last year, you've got 20 hours I think.
The alternative is to pay for it, a mate has done this and you can upload more music and get stats on how's playing/downloading your stuff.

The free one for me (with 20 hours) does the job for me, but if I was new to it and was only getting 2 hours it wouldn't be much use...

I was just tryin to upload a mix there to soundcloud. Now the mix isn't that long but its 450Mb and it'll that 3 poxy hours to upload. I've downloaded a few mixes that are probably twice as long mine but half the memory.

I'm recording on Tracktor, how do I get them not to take up so much room?

It's probably in .wav - you need to encode in mp3.

Download Audacity and get the LAME plugin, encode at 320kbs.
Uploading takes a lot longer than downloading though...
