Been offered one of these (XTX version) and wanted to know one or two thins.

How much should I expect to pay, second hand of course...?

I'm looking to run games on a 22" or 24" monitor, mainly BF2/FS2004 but probably some newer ones as well.

    Good option? Advice appreciated.

Not really worth it unless the card is about 100-110, with similar performing budget cards like the excellent 3850 for under 150 euro new, and the ass kicking 3870 for sub 200...

For a 22"+ monitor, you'd want at least a 3870 for newer games if you plan on maintaing a certain level of eye candy at native resolution, ideally, even better, like the new GTS - 260 euro from Dabs Value.

Yeah, I saw that Dabs GTS, couldn't believe the price, its like 70 euro off the OCUK value card (which for some reason is about 30 euro more than the cheapest GTS 512 they have!)

Cheers for the help HavoK. Been offered two for €200 so I'm gonna take that.

I still wouldn't be keen on 2 GTX's for 200. After all, they're second hand cards... from last generation. For 200 new you can get a HD3870, or for an extra 20 quid an 8800GT from Dabs....even if you leave the inconsistent Sli performance aside, they will perform better.

Agree with Havok and ditch the gtx's,one card for €100 is a good deal, but both for €200 is not when you can get a class HD3870 for 200,or even a 512mb HD3850 for €163
