Hey lads, Got a problem with my Mk 3 Golf. Sometimes (one time in five) when I start it nothing happens. No response at all, not a sound from it. I then leave it a few minutes and it works no problem. It seems completely random. I thought it was the battery first, but seeing as it starts a moment later, wouldn't this rule…

Hey lads,

It seems completely random. I thought it was the battery first, but seeing as it starts a moment later, wouldn't this rule out the battery?

Starter motor solenoid? That's only a guess, though. You really need to bring it to a good auto electrician.
