Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I have been racking my brain trying to think of the club from eastren europe that are extremely wealthy due to the backing of an Oil rich Russian I think.

Is it Steaua Bucharest or Slavia Prague or who the hell is it?

CSKA Moscow? or FC Shakhtar? or it could be Zenith St. Petersburg, they have plenty of money, apparently funded by an investor richer than Roman.

I doubt the OP was talking about them, but I think Shakhtar are perhaps the richest out of the bunch. They must have been putting up good money to get an Italian to join them.

4-1. away. After holding them to 0-0 draw at home. 2-0 down when we had a man sent off. Got it back to 2-1 and then fell apart as any team would in hostile environment with ten men. Click here for the racism story. And next time don't be such a smart arse

    Willian from Corinthians for €14m.
Nery Castillo from Olympíakos for €20m.
Ilsinho from Sao Paulo for €11m.
Andriy Pyatov from Vorskla Poltava for €1m.
Cristiano Lucarelli from Livorno for €8m.
Oleksandr Hladky from FC Kharkiv for €2.5m.
Volodymyr Yezerskiy from Dnipro for €1.2m.

Nearly €60m spent. They did sell Tymoschuk, Elano and Marica for about €35m though.

    Damn Helix you were right

They sold Tymoschuk to St. Petersburg for some insane price I think.

Never really was a fan of him. Good point about the 35 million Eirebhoy.

Tymoschuk was constantly linked with Celtic for about 18 months. He had Scottish journalists asking him whether he'd like to join Celtic. He was then sold for €15m and we were brought down to earth. :) I think he's a top, top player.

QPR have 5 owners including Bernie Eccelstone, Flavio Briatore and Lakshmi Mittal which makes them the richest club in england.
