    WooHoo - someone else 'Does a Gormless' !! :):)

My 968 Tip is now costing less to run than my wifes 2.0 Mazda Diesel.

    What's not to like ????

Mind you, like Unkel, my tax is up next month. 3k.

    Ode To The Motorist

“And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

Its interesting, I might take one of these for a drive today and I found this post by searching, even though it was probably on thw front page.

What kind of warranty, if any did you get?

Did you buy two of them? The top rate of motor tax is only €1491.

I got a 3-month warranty on the engine and gearbox. I'm gonna have my mechanic give the engine and box a full going over in about 2 1/2 month's time, so I can get any work done under warranty.
As I said, they did quite a bit of work on it before I bought it, so I was happy with the 3-month warranty.
Best of luck with your search. Check out usedcarexpert.com and xkec.com for tips on what to look for.

Very nice car, happy motoring with her.

Fair play to ya for buying her, true for you, too many play it safe with ordinary cars...

well wear....you wouldnt get a Skoda for 20k these days. Just for info, those jag V8'S are bomb proof once serviced. Oil and filter her regularly and its good for another 100k. Your local mechanic will have no bother looking after her.
