Born in the 70´s Luke Eargoggle was raised with all kinds of acoustic music, although Oldschool electro came like a tornado with Egyptian Lover and others in the mid 80´s. After listening to alot of that and painting Graffiti for years other interests came in the way and the electro misson was almost forgotten. But then in 1997 a friend of his went to the USA for studying and left his studio at Eargoggles house.

"Use it if you like" he said - and so he did. After some producing and experimenting for some time electro came back like a flashback from the past.

Since then, Luke Eargoggle has released on labels such as Bunker (Den Haag, Holland), Kondi (Denmark), and of course his own Stilleben imprint based in his home city, Gothenburg. Along the way producing under different aliases such as Dr.Lindh, Freezy Freeze, Stalkers and Achilles. He is also part of 3 collaborations, with Legowelt in an electro/disco project called 'Catnip', and another electro/disco partnership 'Monkeyshop' with Rutherford of Kondi records, and finally the most recent 'Faceless Mind' with fellow Swede Johan Inkenen.

His music draws its influences from the tight electro beats of Kraftwerk, early oldschool electro and the dark mysteries of Dopplereffekt. Living in his studio near the sea he is left alone to make his dangerous sounds which are a designed vision from brain to black shiney vinyl....

This Saturday Lunar Disko returns for its first party of 2008, and we will be welcoming undoubtedly one of the best electro producers on the planet to rock the Lunar Disko walls.

Currently one of the masters of the pure and futuristic electro sound Luke Eargoggle, hailing from Gothenburg in Sweden has been doing his thing since the late 90's. His sound is without doubt distinct and unique with its eerie melodies, bubbly basslines, and freaky vocals, yet the electro professor still manages to take a nod back at his main inspirations and influences, such as electro masters Kraftwerk, Egyptian Lover, and Dopplereffekt.

His undoubted ability over the years has seen him release numerous twelves on Bunker Records from Holland which really but him at the forefront of the Dutch electro scene, and later collaborated with Dutch electro freak Legowelt as Catnip. Aswell as this he introduced his own label Stilleben to promote his icy cold electro from the computerwelt, and to give up and coming Scandinavian producers their chance in the electro world. Last year he released arguably his best work in the form of his LP 'Pawns of the Field' on Kust Musik, which includes a collaboration with Nancy Fortune of Viewlexx fame.

With dates in in Paris and Miami on the horizon, this Saturday is a chance to witness an electro genius at work in the intimate surroundings of The Underground. Dont sleep...

On support duty we welcome two Lunar Disko debutants, Jay Galligan & Oisin Murphy. These two lads are no stranger to firing electro sets over the years, so we look forward to a killer debut from the lads before Eargoggle takes to the stage. Opening up the night will be Lunar Disko resident Barry Donovan who will be mixing it up for the first hour from labels such as Minimal Rome, Kondi, Clone etc..
