Alternative Photoshop Tennis - Some Rules

This thread is an alternative to http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055064204, with a more technical emphasis.
The difference being that the changes must be subtle. I'll leave the definition of subtle up to you, they can be realistic, fantasy, hyperreal, funny up to you.
    The main rules are ,
    A) You can't change an image too much, in one iteration. For example, no having the whole previous image being in a screen in a completely different image.

    B) Changes Should try to be as seamless as possible. Not nessasrily photorealistic, but again, I'll leave the definition flexible.

I think the other thread is hillarious, and this is not meant to replace it. There's no reason why 2 different photoshop tennis threads can't run similtanously.

Here's an image of a muddy field from glastonbury to start with.

    Good Luck

I don't know, but I hope I've provided an avenue for possible development with my last one.

ahhhh... this started off as a good one... it's just like the other one now..

yeah but the other image got to crowded , there would have to be a change eventually , and then putting a curl in the corner of the image pretty much sealed its fate to me , should really revert to http://img231.imageshack.us/img231/3027/aps3xa0.jpg .

    maybe go this way...

I think the game could work better if we just accept an image is dead and start with a new stock one every now and again maybe ?

  • Moderators, Arts Moderators Posts: 10,518 Mod ✭✭✭✭5uspect

I don't know, the curl could have been easily modified with a tack or a piece of tape to put it back up.

The problem with this kind of photoshop is limited real estate. It would probably be better to use higher res images with lossless compression and/or introduce a image after say 20 posts.

Well, you could always remove parts of it, and replace them with something else, keeping it fresh.

Again though, the key is subtlety.

Maybe it is time to start with a new image.

I'll let someone else pick a starting image, this time.

Here is a fairly bland one form Barcelona that could do with some subtle sharpening, curves adjustments etc. Some creative additions could also make this very nice also!

damn me for breaking my acer , this looks like a good image and all :(

  • Moderators, Arts Moderators Posts: 10,518 Mod ✭✭✭✭5uspect

surely you can do something in MS paint?!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,254 ✭✭✭Citizen_Erased

Well im typing now from my acer , but it is sans backlight , just about reading the screen , nopt exactly up to image manipulation ... still parts ordered , just gotta bide my time .....

  • Moderators, Arts Moderators Posts: 10,518 Mod ✭✭✭✭5uspect

Ouch, ccfl gone? I had to replace the backlight on herself's Acer not too long ago.
Its a wee bit tricky to install but not too difficult. Good luck.
