Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    rooney misses again ...lol

utd a bit slack at the back and giving the ball away too easy.

shocking decision by the linesman for Owens goal.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 16,658 ✭✭✭✭Peyton Manning

Poor decision alright, but these things happen. Enough bad decisions have gone against us this season so we're due a few more in our favour!

2 shots cleared off the line! Feck...

    Fantastic goal

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,345 ✭✭✭✭A Dub in Glasgo

Should have been a penalty to Man Utd and then a fantastic clearance of the Newcastle line

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 20,346 ✭✭✭✭KdjaCL

This is embarassing, united are playing heads and volleys in newcastles box and regardless of manager this would have happned anyway its almost annualat this stage. Big club just got their 1st corner.

Off to watch la liga now so newcastle prolly score 3 in last 8 minutes :o

I think my Fantasy Football team has just orgasmed from United alone. Ronaldo with 2 goals as captain, Tevez with a goal and assist and Rio with goal and clean sheet (so far)......

    A compliment for Utd?

Honestly, this second half has been an absolute massacre - some of the best attacking football combined with some woeful defending - United are on top of the world at the moment.

heh! We can only look down the East Lancs road and sigh.

No problem complimenting them when they deserve it.

For example, i disagree with them being given that last goal there when it clearly wasnt over the line. Or Owens perfectly good goal being disallowed.

And i still think Ronaldo is a disgrace of a human being. Super player though.

Why was smith sent off for giving the ref stick when he didnt do the same to Giggs,Ferdinand,Ronaldo and Rooney in the first half when they continually harassed him?

How can you say he is a bad human being? Because he might dive sometimes?

He does very good work for charity, and I actally think he is a cool guy from what I see.

I think Rooney is Overrated but damn his pass was insane to Ferdinand.

Same here. Provisionally on 83 before bonus points are given out and Santa Claus to play tomorrow. Might top 100 for the first time.

Had planned to go to this game as well. Pity it fell through. :(

I just looked at the BBC expecting it to say 3-0!

Well, Le Arse dropped points, so did the Pool. We won. Scored 5, conceded 1 and still won by 6. Top of the league. Fantasy Football team exploded. A good day me thinks.

If the Ref's were consistent and sent off players for abuse, Rooney would be suspended for the whole season.

Great win for Utd they played well but the big moment of the game was the offside against Owen, awful decision and Ferdinand was the same for his goal however he got the goal, linesman should be demoted and ref should be demoted for sending smith or ref's should follow his suit and send ever player off from now on that gives abuse.

Fook. PHB was at this match wasn't he?

We'll never hear the bleedin' end of it :D

Oh and after watching that free kick Ronaldo got and scored, he's a very very stupid cheat, he has such ability and doesn't need to grab his shin and pretend he's hurt when he obviously wasn't touched. Sadly his cheating will never allow him to claim the praise he deserves from other fans for his ability, e.g. the Peno against Derby, game is over and he cheats to get a peno. Cheat with great ability.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,372 ✭✭✭✭Mr Alan

    All the time.

He constantly cheats. In the modern game, most players take an occassional dive. I dont like it but its something i'll have to accept.

He is on a different level to anyone else though.

he cheats constantly. Probably about ten dives in this match today. A truely dispicable trait to have as a professional sportsperson.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,103 ✭✭✭estebancambias

He dives, what is the big deal? I can never understand this fascination with diving.....personally I find it very useful.

Giggs shoulda got a peno earlier on, and Ronaldo coulda got one too, although granted that one's debateable. Ya just hope it evens out in the end.

Great day for United, and an amazing performance by the whole team. JOSH was sh*te defensively, but he sent in a few good crosses, 2 of which resulted (indirectly) in goals!

    Everyone else was perfect really.

Woulda liked to see Danny S get a goal, he had 2 or 3 chances when he came on!

What was with Ferdinand coming up front so much? Sent in a cross to (I think) Rooney, and he got a goal. Not complaining! But it's just unusual :)

The Premiership is on RTÉ2, FYI!

Do you know what they all said to the ref? Cos I don't. Smith coulda been telling him he's gonna burn down his house for all we know. Refs expect protests and put up with them.

The only thing worse than people who condemn diving, is people who say its 'thought on the continent'.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,430 ✭✭✭Sizzler

Newcastle cleared FOUR shots off the line as well !

Owen's goal should have stood but frankly had he scored a double I dont think it would have stopped Utd in the 2nd half.

Major LOL at Pearson's headset for the whole of the match, I mean WTF.
