VW Main Dealers & VW Golf

Just wondering there about main dealers, are they any good for bargaining? Ive heard to expect 10% off the guide prices if i've no trade in. Also the prices seem very steep for Mk IV Golfs, high milers, some very basic even without e/w and just a cassette and still main dealers are asking the best part of 10k :o

Look outside the VW dealer network - you may come across MkIVs that are better value.
