Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Vista, OpenAL and soundcards: Some help please

    Whats the deal with Vista and OpenAL and should I be investing in a new soundcard to replace my XFI fatal1ty? If so which is the best OpenAL supporting soundcard available atm?

    I'm using the Creative ALchemy program for some of my games but i've found the results to be iffy at best, even with games that I know worked really well in XP with the CMSS-3D feature enabled.

    So i'm wondering if I should bin the XFI fatal1ty and upgrade. Is there much point? How well is OpenAL replacing DirectSound3D in games?
