Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I don't think XP will recognize the SATA drives unless you install the service packs.

Not sure of SP1 but SP2 definitely recognizes SATA.

    Hope that helps

Was it an old instal disc you used ? You would need to use a disc with SP1 or preferably SP2 slipstreamed to enable XP to see a HD greater than 137Gb and also to load SATA drivers . I'd guess you have used an older disc which doesnt carry the SATA drivers which is why you cant see them . You could load the drivers manually but given this is a new instal I reckon the best option is to format again and instal with a more current version of the CD .

You would also want to format to NTFS of course , as FAT32 would restrict the partition size to 32Gb (I think) .

Is it just SATA HD or optical drive(s) too ? Either way it sounds like the drivers for the controllers arent there ...
