Socializing dogs

I have my 11 month old GSD for about 2 or 3 months now, she's settled in great, really good nature and so far seems good with dogs. Only problem is I've been finding it hard to find oppurtunities to socialize her with other dogs, she sees quite a lot of other GSD's on a regular basis but has little or no contact with other breeds as there's not many other dogs in my area so she doesn't really see many when out walking, when does see other dogs she gets a little excited and pulls towards them a bit but isn't in any way aggressive. Does anyone have any suggestions on places to bring her or things to do to help socialize her? I know its really important for her to interact with other dogs.

    Thanks.

Where do you live? There might be a local park or beach where you can socialise your dog?

Around the Whitehall/Santry area, we bring her to Donabate beach as often as we can but between school and work it can be difficult to get there.

Why not bring her to the IKC show centre, Cloghran in Swords, that's a great place to socialise dogs but I wouldn't recommend the training classes unless you enjoy walking round in a circle for 30 minutes!:D
I think it's on tuesday evenings.

    I'd 100% recommend

    www.dogtrainingireland.ie

It is a fab controlled environement and you get one trainer to 3-4 dogs.

I have only had bad experiences with the IKC so cannot recommend them at all

As I said I wouldn't recommend IKC training classes but if I understood it correctly dancing-columbo was looking to socialise their dog not for training classes, and IKC is perfect for that and they only charge €5 so you can't really go wrong with that.

Yeah, Annika's right, we're just looking to socialize her, we've already done basic obediance with her ourselves. We've actually been to dog training ireland with our old dog and it wasn't the best experience, though the feedback I've heard from others has been mostly good. Thanks for the suggestion though :).
