Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hey,

posting on behalf of a friend who turned on his xbox to find 3 blinking red lights !

Only problem is last month he got his DVD drive flashed.

Any suggestions on what to do? Any fixes other than the towel trick?

    Thanks for any advice

I got mine fixed by a guy in Bray. Charges €60 and gives a 3 month warranty on the repair.

Id said he meant what he does to the xbox itself but I dont think your going get that info lol!

Only thing I could think of would be to open up the 360 and put on some thermal paste under the heatsinks..

Towel trick does work though ive seen plenty of videos of it.

    Otherwise... Hard luck!

Towel trick is only a temporary fix isn't it?

Surely its on the internet somewhere what he does.... i mean there is some guy in cork does it too... there hardly just 2 guys in ireland who figured out how to fix it!!

friend of mine had a flashed DVD drive and then got the RROD. He sent it back to MS under warranty (nothing to lose) and it was repaired. DVD and motherboard replaced.

send it back, worth a shot.
