    hi

i need advice regarding my career and what to do

    1. did BA
    2. did post grad diploma
    3. worked in IT for 3 years
    4. started CIMA
    5. got job as systems accountant in financial services
    6. decided to get qualified properly and changed to a role in a plc
doing regulatory accounting and some systems work
    - not really going well. my problem is that i have never really
produced a set of accounts from trial balance. i can work things out
and solve problems, but dont really know how the basics work.

should i leave this job after a year and go back to IT - or is it
possible for me to operate as a proper accountant doing month ends
    and financial reporting.

im heading into do an IFRS diploma but i dont know that many
debits and credits - i know the basics but havent really got much
experience in posting journals. im scared to talk my way into a
job with month ends and posting journals and be revealed as
someone that doenst know very much.

has anyone faced this problem of transitioning from business analyst
to proper accountant - accountants seem to feel that you have to
have been an accountant in the womb to be any good at it.

id say id be 40 before i got proper work in the job im in.

and im going to fail my final exam on thursday -results are out.
and the pass rate is only 52% of all people that sit it pass.

just feeling very down about the whole thing.
