    the tax only changes for newly reg'd cars in July so if your buying here theres no change. BTW theres a sticky at the top with all this info

    So if I dont tax it til Feb 2008

    1,801 to 1,900 - 560 euros PA - no regard for the fact its Diesel?

    Just wondering what a 2008 (same car) bought in Aug 2008 will cost tax wise?

    Nope, never has been. Bar the 9.5% increase in rates theres no change to the tax system for cars registered before July 08.

    The new tax system only effects new or imported cars registered from 1st July 2008.

    9.5% or 11% increase depending on the size of the engine, on the cars already registered using the existing tax system from 1st Feb, so if the car is due to be taxed get it done before the increase on 1st Feb.
