Why not grab a set of Pimsleur's Japanese CDs? It's what I'm doing at the moment and it's a good way of learning a language in my opinion.

I'm also planning to learn some Japanese over the summer. Is this website good? Has anyone used it?

Yep, I use it regularly. They have free lessons from beginner to intermediate level.
