    Love it or loathe it, the Irish Mail gas been the scourge of Bertie and FF. It has put a new dynamic into the political reporting forum, again not necessarily for the better, but at least it has opened up matters which the staid Irish press would have avoided. Not a day goes by, but there is something about Bertie or his pals, and it is a far cry from Aherns cozy little musings that the Sunday Indo allows, where Bertie is allowed to express his views , thoughts, opinions and his defence on issues without question or censure. What sort of "Independent newspaper" is that. Change its name to Fianna Fail on Sunday. Its like Pravda, extolling our glorious leader. Puke or what.

    Snyper and Tommy T both seem to hate socialists, but wasn't bertie one of the only true socialists in the Dail according to himself ?

    It is gas how many sub threads are being spawned.
    Typical mudding the waters and skirting the question.

    Oh and for anyone that says we are low tax, what about VRT?
    Yes, some countries have a registration tax (e.g Finland) but nothing as bad as ours.
    At least the Finns have free education and proper public services.

    Read my post again.

    Socialism in its purest form of "Share the wealth".. take all from the hard working and give to the lazy arses... yes.

    Socialism as in Taxpayers supporting Hospitals, unemployed, education infrastructure.. no.. i fully support that
