I think that Aquatic Village in Brittas sell live rocks, not sure about live sand though. Could also try Fish Antics in Dun Laoghaire, not been there but they specialise in marine fish. Probably you best 2 options

    Hi,

Any tank over a few months old is live, it depends on what you want.

Brittas is the place for rock imo, and if you wait for a LR delvery and put in uncured(Stright from the Reef) you will get alot of critters dropping to sand.

You can get cultures from Fish Antics but it's just the same as uncured rock without the chance of getting any nasty critters, but live sand is in two types

Full of bugs or full of critters, the critter will die off or be eaten fast by fish and not alot will not last long.

If you have a sump then put in some uncured rock in and wait a few weeks and bingo.

If not make a safe haven in tank by putting LR under a pond basket in tank so that the fish and others cant get at them and they can breed n be safe. As the population expands the will move out to rest of tank and feed your fish and expand around tank.

    Hope this helps
