Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Vista UAC problem

I run Vista on one computer with the UAC turned on. No problems for several months. Yesterday, I updated a program I use frequently to the latest version and now I need to give the UAC permission every single time I open it.

It was fine before, so I assume that the update must have changed something. It says the program has no digital signature.

Anyway, can I fix it so that I no longer get prompted by UAC for opening this program without actually turning UAC off?

Sounds like the program in question has set itself to run with admin rights, causing UAC to kick in every time it is started. If you go into its properties you can disable that but it may cause the program to malfunction if it is expecting to have admin rights.

short time fix, when you start the app, right click and run as admin , should let you use it without it annoying you to much

long term fix - disable UAC or give the progam admin rights some how
