    Hi All,
I was just wondering what a "full service" actually entails? What do they actually look at/do? This would be through a main dealer. Also, would it depend on what service it was for a full service to be different?

    Thanks

    Something like...

    Check for oil leaks
    Change oil
    Change oil filter
    Top up power steering fluid
    Top up washer bottles
Top up clutch / brake fluid
    Check accessory drive belts
    Check driveshaft boot condition
    Top up auto transmission fluid
    Top up gearbox oil
    Replace fuel filter (diesel)
    Replace spark plugs
    Replace air filter
    Top up coolant anti-freeze
    Check cooling system condition
    Check horn operation
Check front and rear side and main lights
    Check indicators / hazard lights
Check fog and number plate lights
    Check brake and reverse lamps
Check windscreen wiper operation / condition
Check windscreen washer operation / alignment
Check handbrake lever operation / travel
    Grease/oil door locks and hinges
    Clean battery terminals
    Check battery security
    Top up battery electrolyte level
    Battery charge test
    Check tread depth
    Check tyre condition
    Check tyre pressure
    Check brake pads

Thanks for that. So it seems that they wouldnt actually check the engine (through diagnostics) or check condition of clutch and gearbox?

Some dealers would connect their diagnostics to the car as part of a health check, the only check they would do on a clutch or gearbox is a road test, but unless you have a specific problem i wouldn't worry about your clutch
