    I have a 1 MB eircom download speed but as I am downloading a 120MB program I thought it a bit slow and checked at http://pcpitstop.com/pcpitstop/ to find it is only haf the 1 MB. Is that unusual? Thanks

    I'd suggest you try http://speedtest.net/ to do the test, it's much more reliable.

    What is the transfer rate of the file your downloading. Anywhere over 80KB/s is normal for your connection. It should vary between 80 - 130KB/s.

    Thanks that gives me 896kbps using a pyramid in dubin

    It is downloaded now but I will start it againto see..... OK it is between 85 and 95 KB/s, mostly 94ish
    Anywhere over 80KB/s is normal for your connection. It should vary between 80 - 130KB/s.
