Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi
Anyone have any info on getting into formula vee racing in ireland. Might even be interested in buying a formula vee car to take testing at mondello. Any ideas on costs etc?

Any idea on car prices? Know anyone of your competitors selling? I probably would just take to mondello for a few days this year. Would I need the race licence to do this? have been around various parts of the mondello circuit when I did the preformance driving course there and also did mazda zoom zoom. Also do the cars have left hand or right hand gear change. I didnt like the right hand change on the single seaters on mondello course although I would get used to it in a few hours im sure.

better get the licence so. Didnt think there was a winner at the zoom zoom. what prize? there was no driiving competition really apart from the obstacle course in the 2. Off road was ****e. the deep water section had a concrete base.

The hot laps with the racing drivers must have been a bit dull for you seeing that you race yourself and the guy I was with in the mazda 3 wasnt even trying

As Lightning said, the gearchange will be easy to get used to. If you have difficulty with that after a day with your Vee then its the least of your worries LOL.

No difficulty with it really during my day at mondello course but I just know I would have that bit better timing and control with it on the other hand.
Us left handers are generally more one sided than the rest of ye! but often very skillful on that side. Was way quicker than others on the course but didnt get one clear lap in due to others on track. Would get used to it no doubt.

It was 58. something. little damp. Got caught up every time though. Id really love to know how quick id be. what time can ye do around there. I know there is many seconds to be taken off that time. My instructor was a dublin fella with short red/brown hair. This was about 2 years ago. He told me the abs were cutting in while hammering around in the rover and to brake sooner but he was wrong.
