Seriously shocked by this thread. A thread with over 52 posts basically consisting of slagging 14/15 (actually mainly younger) kids. Are people really that sad? Grow up.

    OOooooooooooooooOOOOOoooOOOOOHHHH!!!!

DSB is Captain Nemo of the Emo, guardian of the Emo cause, hider of razor blades, consulting expert in hair advice, and advanced in the knowledge of spelling longwinded synonyms for depression such as:
abasement, abjection, abjectness, bleakness, blowout, blues, bummer, cheerlessness, dejection, desolation, desperation, despondency, disconsolation, discouragement, dispiritedness, distress, dole, dolefulness, dolor, downheartedness, dreariness, dullness, dumps, ennui, gloom, gloominess, heavyheartedness, hopelessness, lowness, lugubriosity, melancholia, melancholy, misery, mortification, qualm, sadness, sorrow, trouble, unhappiness, woefulness

He is like the pied piper of emo Hamlyn, except instead of a pipe he has blond hair, tight black jeans and a trendy PRS guitar with the word LUGUBRIOUS scratched into the fretboard. Also the guitar only has 5 strings. Also its not plugged into anything.
Also, his pants just fell down.

    Haha how old are you?

  • Moderators, Music Moderators Posts: 35,945 Mod ✭✭✭✭dr.bollocko

Why is everyone so interested in my age? I'm old enough to play the fat delivery guy / bus driver in futurama. And that was years ago. And I was a smoker then, so Im hardly likely to be much younger than, what, 46 by now? Except that I know the names of young people bands. Im that one old guy with no friends and strange google eyes who always puts on Metallica in rock bars and headbangs madly with his pint in his hand who stares at you funny if you have the misfortune to actually touch him.

Actually what is with that? There is always one old crazy guy....

honestly in the time it took to post this thread you couldve just googled it.
Wiki says that the origin of the word is unknown, "emotional" is just an assumption that people jump to.
So apologise for being mean. /wags finger

See a doctor immediately, you may have been infected.
You'll probably have to go through a 6 month quarantine.
That'll learn you to talk to....them

i love the way people think that emo = 15 year olds with MCR hoodies who cut themselves.

i wish i could live with that sort of ignorance.

almost as ignorant as saying hiphop is all about "guns blunts and bitches".

No offence but Emo is not about la music. The music is part of the Emo.
Like Wiggers listen to hip hop etc.

Your post is incorrect but scary if you think that way :/ More scary than the OP being to stupid to use google.

    Oh and DSb Ownd dr.bollocko.

Why is it any more funny than the stupid macho metallers you'll find in Fibbers on a Thursday night joined by Mammy's Chubby Corset Princess? At least they're kids and they'll grow up. Slagging emos has become more of a stupid trend than being one.

Haha no1. But jokes get old sometimes. And this one has been beaten to death. Especially when they're directed at people not intelligent enough to give any decent comeback other than 'you just don't like us because we're different you chav'.

They dress the same to feel part of something but are desperate for attention TBH

As for quiz I got rocker/mosher and then 40 per cent for both trendy and goth.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,951 ✭✭✭DSB

Society tends to dress the same in certain social groups anyways even if not every group is given a ridiculous name. Its pretty normal for friends to have similar patterns of dress. Fair enough, their dress sense is ridiculous but so was mine when I was that age.
