Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I know nothing about Peugeots but I've been looking at a few '04 and '05 models over the last few days. They look great.

Their value seems to plummet from new but at 3-4 years old they seem like decent value with lots of extras.

Seems to be a fair few available 1.8L - 2L

    Opinions? Pros/Cons?

Personally, I'd steer clear of the diesels. 1.6HDI blows turbos (very expensive) and it also has serious problems with the dual mass flywheels breaking up (nearly as expensive). Also some ABS sensor problems that can be fixed for €200 or so. Other than that, they are nice cars - comfortable ride, etc.

They are comfortable cars....nothing more good to say:D

Drive one and see what you think - I was in a few petrol ones and didn't like the clutch, felt like it wasn't really connected to the pedal.

We've traded a few, and they haven't given any major trouble - 1 came back for a fault with the tcs but it's still early days!

Well as somebody who owns one i think i have to come in here and defend them

the diesel version is a great car car economy wise....get approx 900kms from a tank and thats 66 litres at approx 1.15 cent a litre.

With regards to faults outlined above i have never had any of them nor have i ever experienced them.

i would wonder were the comment from the french car hating brigade.
