    These went off on cars which had not got any airbag fault codes. In that case, the tester shouldn't sit in a car with airbags!

    I would have to side with the tester on this one. The warning light being faulty is a fault and he had every right to cancel the test as a result. Reapply and try again OP. And good luck with your driving!

    try leaving an open envelope with €500 in it on the passenger seat next time

    I know 2 people who have done this (yes it's outrageous but hey)
