Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

my solicitor told me my case must be sent down to the Personal injury board, so down it went for 9 months.

The other party accepted liability through PIAB, but then PIAB notified my solicitor that its outside their remit?

I know i should of asked my solicitor, but what is this remit he talks of? Is it a limit on the amount i can claim through the PIAB?

I know I should of got more details from my solicitor, but im not ringing him etc cos ill get charged 70euro for 15mins of his time!!

Hi. You need to speak to your solicitor if you need advice. This is not a free legal aid centre I'm afraid.

Incidentally, unless you are with one of the larger law firms, you won't be charged for the phone call or by the hour etc. Most solicitors work on a set fee. You should be sent what's called a Section 68 letter at the outset of your case outlining the basis on which you will be charged fees. So go ask him/her the question - that's what you are paying them for.
