    there is free iron on the moons surface .
    you can melt moon rock with microwaves to form glass

    what the article doesn't say is if if you further heat the glass to where iron melts will it separate out by gravity. you can't use magnets because you will be over the curie temperature though you could use electromagnetic induction.

    means you may get easy access to engineering materials , conductors and insulators without any chemical processing and all pretty low tech stuff so could easily be done by robots. iron is not a good a conductor as copper but the vacuum means no corrosion so could easily make motors , pipes, generators
