I am due to go over to New Zealand and will be flying into Auckland in two weeks. I have become a little fatigued by travelling and am looking to set up base somewhere.
Can anyone recommend a good spot to look in Auckland-reasonably priced-safe shared accomadtion.Any advice greatly appreciated.

I lived in Auckland for nine months. I wasnt mad about the place as there is not very much going on there. The only reasoned I stayed was because I got stuck there cause I was smashed and needed to pay for a flight home.
If you are going to go though we stayed in Queen street which is the main street in Auckland in apartment called the Zest. The rent was €280 for a two bedroom apartment so fairly reasonable and quite central.
Make sure you go to Queenstown that's suppose to be the best place. I never went cause I was so broke but I'm going to try to get back there at some stage.
If you haven't been to Oz I'd recommed going there instead and basing yourself in Sydney. It's such a great place.
