    Hello there,

There might be someone out there who can help me.

We have an eircom isdn line. We want to use teh two pstn/analogue ports off of it.

When someone rings in we want it to go to line one, and only if that line is busy to line two. Using the same number!

At the moment we can either have two completely separate numbers, or one number but then both lines ring at the same time.

    Can anyone help? Thanks

If it means we have to get two separate lines how much does that cost?

    Thanks

    Richard

Might be easier to follow the manual http://www.eircom.ie/bveircom/plugplay/menu.html
    Click on 2phones (voice calls)
Might look complicated but is actually quite simple...

The problem is, if I set it up for two separate lines, then

When Line one is busy it doesn't automatically go to(hunt) line two.

If I set it up for one line, then

    Both channels ring at once.

    Its really irritating.

I guess it can't be done?

It can be done allright.. the second channell will only ring for a few seconds (after the call is answered)..I know its annoying but it will do what you asked in your original post..The main thing is after you answer the first call if some one else calls the main number they wont get an engaged tone the line will ring and your second phone will then ring.

The people using the system are complaining. And actually its not hanging up the line but going to voicemail I think. I have an isdn card somewhere so I'll try and set that up instead. I hope that works!!

first of all Turn off the voice mail.... think of it as one line one phone 9except that you have 2)
What I mean is if you had 3 or 4 phones in parrallell on the one eircom linme and some one rang.. all phones would ring..and when you answer naturally they would stop..
When you set this up it will be very simular except for the fact that when you answer the call you can then receive another on your spare analogue phone..
