Appreciate your view about the bipod, i realy do as i have been unsure about it.

What i was going for as a change was a long range suppression role not needing a full on rpk74, but based on a real steel 74 using 45 rounders, i find your pic fairly insulting considering i run the gun on mid caps and its clearly not a c-mag bb hose.

Since day 1 ive been skirmising with shotguns, pistols and a semi auto Aeg with lowcaps 99% of the time so no im far from an ak74u +c mag wielding fiend.

You have to nip these ideas in the bud :D

The real steel '74 has been used in DMR type roles once fitted with a posp sight.

You could also fit a red-dot sight, real russian ones are cheap, 200$ approx for a real model, a real eotech by comparison is 500$ or so.

You could obviously get a weaver rail or something also but you lose a lot of the point of having an AK.

I don't know if a bipod would suit it though, but a posp certainly would.

I wanted it fairly plain tbh [bipod at most], i only bought it cos i got a sudden hankering for a gun with real wood so i could restain it.
Ive got my Aug a3 tuned for a DM role which i use in nearly every woodland game anyway so the 74 is basically just an option for palletfield games.
What i was aiming for originally was something between a Lsw and an assault rifle like a light support rifle or some such hence the Rs 45 rounders.

Its a good move to remove the bipod I'd say, it really doesn't suit, even if it didn't impinge on the cleaning rod.

The 45 rounders give it a good look alone.

If i ever get my plagued Shrike Lmg up and running again the bipod will be going back on that anyway ;)

i'd like to point out thats scopes influence introduced me to midcaps
    mid-caps!
    and something called trigger control.

he's about as far from a boxmag wielding bb hoser as you can get

    lol :pac:.
It could be a long time before the Shrike is ready to be seen on the field again, Im having to much fun with my all gas loadout to be all that bothered about sorting it ;)

On topic, yea i dont see myself forking out for another bipod for the the 74 and the one on it will be switched to the Shrike at some stage so u can stop rocking back and forth in horror Stercus ;)

I dunno, I can appreciate that its a nice authentic piece and pretty but.... So was a ceremonial sword.... doesn't mean I'd prefer one over a Barret m2a1!!!!

Quality is great. I don't see how it could be better. No rattle or movement, no matter what position you have it extended to. I haven't a clue how you connect a stock to an armalite. But it comes with two different attachments, so I assume all the bases are covered.

PM sent with details on where I got it. Magpul have been sending letters to anyone caught exporting them from China. So I don't really want to stick the guys name up on a public forum.

That paint job is freaky moggster. If you rounded a corner in the Warehouse and came face to face with that. It would scare the bejesus out of you.

how is the agm m4 gbb masada?

after you lube the parts is it comparable to the WA version in terms of kick?

I'm getting it after I come back from Sweden and want a verdict before I take the plunge.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,261 ✭✭✭Puding

we had both the wa m4 stock and my new agm m4 stock this weekend down at cork, in terms of recoil we could not tell much difference, the wa m4 was just crisper and smoother operating out of the box
