Its a tournique, gives a better cheek weld, dressings & other bits and pieces and be kept in it & it stops your skin freezing to your steel stock in zub zero temperatures.

as the others said its a tournique, the practise during the afgan war was for soviet soldiers to put a field dressing in there stock and hold it in place with the tournique. this ment everyone always knew where to find them in case your friend was shot or you got shot

of course not much use in airsoft other than what frank said about making a nice check rest and stopping my face from freezing to the stock this winter

rig is normal smersh with 2*ak pouches 2*medium pkm pouches butt pouch and a hydration pack zip tied to the back for ease of use

Mperrozzi, just wondering what battery you have in the handguard and was it hard to get the battery to fit right as ive heard it can be a tight fit trying to get the battery in .

its a mini battery.

No trouble getting it in for me and was still a bit of room left in the handguard

proper magpul, and its an 8.4

You'd get a 9.6v mini in there as well - 90% sure - never got a chance to check it on that aeg but the G&P magpul I'm using now is the same front end and it fits a 9.6v mini in there easier than a 9.6v nunchuck. Shouldn't be any difference.

Shur if you couldnt get a 9.6 in there just get a 7.4 lipo (the really thin ones) and theyd fit even better

Must say, i'm sick to the teeth with Magpul.
I got the MOE handguard back in the day cause i think it was only Richie who had any magpul, but now, it's probably more common than standard M4's!

My Next buy, is defo and AK.
