The Omega Seamaster I bought as a present from me to me last year. Gorgeous watch.

Ditto, Sydney '96. Those were the days.

The only downside is running costs - recommended service interval is 3 years, but IIRC it was €385 last time, so I'm stretching that to 5 years, or when the battery needs replacing. Whatever you do, don't let anyone but the official Omega workshop in London service it (via the agent you bought it from or Weir's of Grafton St).

Don't drop it, you'll damage the floor.

I expect mine to outlast me, which is a pretty rare thing these days.

so you bassically buy a standard AEG from like dboys and customise it or do you actually buy all the parts seperatelly?

Generally buy all parts separately and build it up from there-call me a snob but dont use any dboys gear-quality just is'nt the same-hence no satisfaction.Internals wise I sometimes use a G+P 8mm full mechbox but even at that I will strip it completely and completely rebuild/customise and upgade it to varying degrees ,alternatively I might use a KA 9mm casing and do a complete custom build from scratch with a lot of high end gear such as systema and perhaps fit a mosfet of some type(ALL VERY FINANCIALLY PROHIBITIVE).then you are on to hopups -barrells and on and on-requires a loyt of patience and plenty of dosh.To be honest its a satisfying but expensive hobby:)
    Dave.

Hey Happy Depot! Jealous hate rays are being beamed out of my eyeballs in your general direction as I type!

Love the KAC PDW, and boo-hiss at the vomit you hurled on that poor defenseless Warrior vest. :p

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,397 ✭✭✭MerryDespot

Now now Chuck - once you send out hate rays you can't take them back...

Multicam is required for the Senny trip, besides which - I like multicam. :D
I'll be up with you guys on the 20th and I'll be sure to bring the PDW along. The 416 still requires a few mods to be skirmish ready, but it's getting there.

The first one - the RK - was actually DefenderDude, though the AK was originally mine and I tried relentlessly to get it back :D I was very impressed with the weathering, he did an absolutely amazing job. Changed the wood back from walnut to teak though, prefer the classic look. Up close, his job is infinitely better than mine, as I was impatient and used far too rough paper.....basically use varying grade paper around the edges, I used ultra coarse and ultra fine in sheets that were too wide, and as a result up close, mine is weathered quite poorly in the wrong places on the body, defenderdudes job looks much better and could very believably have been through decades of use. To be honest though, I just dislike the brand new look, got the 47S today on Adverts and it just looked wrong to see it so perfect, as much as it commends the seller.

One thing I will say - the wood and metal on the CYMA strips down so easily compared to the G&G. The G&G took some serious elbow grease in comparison.

Love it! Range is something else on it, did you put a guarder hop in yours yet? How did ya get on with it?

I did indeed, range was a tiny bit extra, but it is much more consistent. I keep meaning to pick up the proper one point sling adaptor for it, it's horribly awkward with it's sling mounts...

Only tryed myne the day i got it, which was very windy! So i must adjust the hop properly tomorrow, and gonna put a guarder clear in it aswell i think
Did the high speed motor have much of a difference ?

It only made it have a silly ROF, to be honest, stock it's perfectly grand, I only changed it as I wanted the G&G motor for another AEG.
