Cheers Kev! If only they all came off that easy we'd all be happy. Should've stuck the HK416 in the pic as well, only thought of it afterwards:rolleyes:

    *Firekitten's AK pic*

I don't know what to say... AK's were ugly enough, but now with the magpul and the ris and the other things...

*rocks back and forth in horror*

It's so ugly, its almost gorgeous.... I'ts really functional though, nicely ballanced, and comfy to use. Its a tool, not a poser toy :)

Then again, it's the inside that counts (it's actually true this time, I swear!)

Does the forgrip not get in the way when changing mags?

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,205 ✭✭✭Firekitten

Nope, its far enough forward to not get in the way, I did check that :) I use it as a hand stopper not a vertical grip anyway.

very secure fit... its the RIS off boomarms for the Star/Ares model. Went straight on, can fit a lipo in it or inside the reciver, nice and compact and weirdly comfy having a vertical grip. Got the right grippod coming for it though.

Definitely needs a tightbore barrel in there plus a smidgin of a power upgrade...pretty good though..and I especially like the mags...very solid.
I had a CA M24 previously which was upgraded to the hilt and it outshot everything with .30g even though it only fired around 290-295fps.
Even at LAC last week the chap who bought it off me was outranging me with .3g even though I was only using .25g. But then again there was about €600 of upgrades done to it etc..
I'm hoping to get close to this with the tightbore and power upgrade (approx 20-30fps more) but off the base model it's way better than any basic sniper rifle.

Kart M14 EBR this gun really tested my ability to rebuild an M14!
Gearbox was screwed, fire selector missing, stripper clip RIS missing, pistol grip hack sawed to death, wrong barrel wrong hop up charging handle return spring missing, rear sling mount missing as well as various body screws and gearbox mounting hardware, only thing I can't sort is the retractable stock it can be repositioned just not to easily, it's missing a part that I don't know of
Needs a little respray but I think it looks well in it's battle hardened livery and it shoots lovely in semi and full with a monstrous rof, have yet to chrono but I left stock spring in place, swapped piston new piston head o-ring grease and shims. Have a video of it shooting on YouTube under Need2airsoft
    Thanks for looking

Does not seem to be on their site anymore. Do you know who makes the version that will fit the Star/A versions. Trying to track one down myself. Not willing to pay €600+ for the real one. I can see ACM ones on ebay that "claim" will fit the Stars and all other makes without modifications but I'm reluctant to believe that.
