Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Punto 01 (1242) where does the power steering fluid go?

Im doing a driving test in an 01 Punto (1242cc) tomorrow. I only have the car a couple of weeks

Now I opened up the bonnet to make sure I was familiar with where the coolant goes, engine oil etc but cannot see where the power steering fluid reservoir is.

I have a Haynes manual for the punto and on the diagram of the underbonnet view for the 16 valve engine model there is a power steering fluid reservoir but on the diagram for the 8 valve engine model (which is what I have)there is none.

Can anybody tell me where it is??

    Thanks

no power steering fluid. The 8v engine uses electric power steering. if you remove the curved panel beside the ignition switch (it removes using the key to turn the screws) you'll see the power steering motor. You can clearly hear the motor whirring when turning the wheels lock to lock.

Yeah defo eletric motor. If the tester asks just tell him its an electric motor beside the steering column.

I can explain exactly where it is located if your curious but you wont need it for the test.
