    Hi guys,

I am wondering if there is some stats somewhere to help me understand what type of blog (I mean the content) really works and attract people.
I mean something about cooking, computers, etc?

    Thanks for the feedback

Everything works if it's worth reading.

    I'd agree.

Certain topics will always attract higher bursts of traffic. So if you were writing about celebs you'd have got lots of traffic surrounding the antics of Lyndsay Lohan or Ms Spears ... But it depends on what you're looking for.. traffic? leads? clicks?

Yeah I am just working something out, not sure yet. I just needed some insight.
The idea is to create traffic to generate revenue.

    Thanks for your replies

Install ISA firewall. That will generate a lot of traffic. Don't sure if you can claim money on it though.

Sounds like a plan. However, imo the best blogs are the blogs where somebody i s passionate about what they are blogging about.

You'd be better off creating quality content on a subject you care about. Trying to make money only will not work.

Come on, you install ISA firewall and someone hacks in after few minutes and you get lot of traffic. Spam, trojans, bots, porn whatever you like. Aparently people make millions on spamnets.

    Apparently you know me Man.

    So I have 2 question:

    - Why do you hide behind this newly created profile? I mean what is your point?
    - Prove me by posting links or other resources that ISA Server has documented hacks and the number of them.

    Thanks

Your posts are so astonishingly arrogant and ignorant it's hard not to pick them up. There's just this time when you can't help it and to follow up.

Quoting some old movie, old man like me don't bother making points, there is no point.

Documented hacks? Buhahaha, yes, it's sooooo typical for a Mickesoft fanboy. What's not documented doesn't exist...

Alright so you have decided to hide behind a new account, insult me with no reason, I do not see why my posts are arrogant and ignorant?
So I suppose you know me real life and have decided to declare a war, anonymously still, fair enough.

I do not know which old movie you talking about.
I do not know why you calling me Mickeysoft fanboy?

As usual you hijack posts with your insults, you must have a serious problem with me and the whole world.

    So what is next?

Exactly buddy :-) You just shot yourself in the foot with your ISA Server story.

Spend some time reading the likes of Darren Rowse: http://www.problogger.net

He'll say the same thing as others have said, however, that you need to have decent content. Once you have the content you can then work on monetising it

Well I've heard many stories, one oif which where a gardener, passionate about his subject, decided it was time he put advertising on his site and now earns $10,000 shmackers per month.

Maybe, you should pick a subject you are passionate about, and one that is vast, yet specific...

You could browse through the forums on boards and see which forums and topics receive the most attention! This might give you an idea.
