    Hi there,

I have the Scientific Atlanta WAN/route/modem thing with the Netgear Wireless router.

The Netgear device has DHCP and used to always serve ipaddress range 192.168.1.x

Suddenly it now picks up IP address direct from the WAN i.e. the 89.100.x.x at chello.ie (as shown in ipconfig below)

When it picks up this 89.100 ipaddress internet works fine but sometimes it picks up the old address range. (sounds like DHCP server conflict)
When I get a 192.168.1.x number internet stops working. Even with IPCONFIG / RELEASE and renews it keeps picking up the 192 range and internet doesn't work. Then for some reason it will pick up the 89 range again and start working.

Tried turning off dhcp on the wireless router. That didn't work.

I am still connecting to the wireless router (wirelessly).

I'm guessing I not the only person with this problem? Any ideas? Cheers.
