So nearly all the teams have unveiled their cars, a few of them are quite interesting but i feel a bit let down by some of the teams, the McLaren and the Renault are more or less visually the same(at the moment).

Does anyone know if they are going to look different before the season starts, i usually look forward to seeing a new livery on the grid every year.

Usually colour is fairly standard for top teams unless there is a new sponsor - it's usually new teams / teams further down the grid that change things up in that regard...

Could be a good season - everyone saying their car is good and some of the mid-pack teams are targeting wins/podiums...I'm especially looking forward to the Alonso - Hamilton battle if Renault have the package.

It will be interesting to see what livery Honda goes with this year.

Looks like its going to be another interesting season.

Jarno Trulli says he is concerned that the banning of electronic aids has returned the spectre of cheating to Formula One.

The Toyota driver is quoted as telling the magazine Autosprint that, eight weeks before the opening race of 2008, some rival teams may have found a way around the new standard electronics developed and supplied by McLaren Electronic Systems.

He suspects that some teams are already using illegal forms of launch and traction control in pre-season testing.

"I'm not saying someone's cheating, even though we've received some conflicting information at Toyota," Trulli said.

"But having analysed the behaviour on the track both now and in the tests in December, the changes between them are many - and in several cases suspicious."

Hmm, still looks sh!te but not quite as bad as last years livery, which looked like someone at Honda had feed an elephant pea soup and which the elephant then promptly decided to throw back up all over the car! Well, throw up over the front two-thirds of it and the remaining bit at the back was left painted black, that is! :D

Honda really needs to get a decent title sponsor and come up with a proper livery instead of this "Earth Dream" crap. Or, even better, just leave it in carbon fibre black with a few small, white Honda/Bridgestone/relevant car number decals on it, like what they did with the car in winter testing last season. It looked so much better that way. Black F1 cars look sexy! :D

the new honda looks fugly,. i hope it makes up for it in performance though,.
the RA107 looked a hell of a lot better than the 108 does, particularly in pre testing early 2007 with no globe crap on it,. :)

Too many white cars for my liking. It could make it difficult to distinguish BMW from a Williams (like 2007) and now Honda have done similar.

Jordans were not always competitive but you usually could tell it from the other teams. Remember the great looking Green car from their first season or the Gold one from the early 90's.

Renault could domuch better as well. They should revive the yellow livery from the 80's turbo cars. Still, so long as they score more points than last year, they won't care too much.

It seems Williams have decided to go for a more striking livery this year, to as you say distinguish themselves from the rest. This will be a very important year for williams if they want to keep Rosberg.

I am fan of the new Renault livery. When you look at it up close it is possibly one the best looking cars on the grid.

Thats just a testing livery. They're trying out various different ones at each pre season test. I don't think the official one has been decided yet.

Yep, it's just one of the many different testing liveries Williams are using this year. They're doing it as some sort of celebration of the 30th anniversary of the team being founded or something like that. I do like that one, though. As I said, black F1 cars look sexy!

I really wish the FIA would bring in some sort of regulation banning all those aerodynamic doo-dahs that are destroying the look of modern F1 cars, though. I wish they'd bring in a rule saying the only aerodynamic pieces allowed are a front wing and a rear wing and no other winglets/turning vanes/directional pieces were allowed on the car and that the cars went back to looking more like the cars from the 1990's. They looked so much more cleaner and sleaker with no bits all over them spoiling the lines. There hasn't been a single F1 car in the last 5 years or so that I would call pretty or sexy looking and certainly none that will go down, for me anyway, as being a "classic" in years to come.

The New Renault R28, I really like the front, the colors will probably change depending on sponsors

The New sauber F1.08 (this is how most of the season will be for them), the smoke effect helps with the recognition

Some nice liveries there. The new Williams looks pretty sleek. Is F1 on Setanta again this year? From what I found on the web, their deal ran from '05 to '07, and there doesn't seem to anything on the channel's website about the coming season.
