Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Before the NTL website got its UPC makeover it said i could get BB but I was away for december and when i rang them at the start of the month they said its not available but will be "soon".

4mb ntl here has been sweet as a nut

You shouldnt need a phone line for ntl why did they say it wasnt available?

Hang on that reminds me when i was getting it the site said i was in a non covered area but i knew differently so when i called them and eventually got someone who knew what they were talking about i was able to order it and get it installed so be careful what the site tells you

I'm on 2Mb Irish Broadband Breeze. No problems, only with Live itself of course.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 739 ✭✭✭Feidhlim

Eircom 2MB but i only get 1.5 mb...

If you can get NTL i would go for that... much faster and same price.

They also told me its not in my area

I'm on BT, and whenever the phone rings, I'm disconnected from XBL.

Can you even begin to imagine how annoying that is?

I have a 1mb/1mb (really just 720k). It works well for cod4 and halo, but fifa 08 can struggle expecially during peak hours.

ntl are telling everyone its not available

    We're really not man!;)

Only the major populated areas (Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Galway, Waterford) are fully available.
And not all of the cities either yet.
A few towns have it aswell.

All you need is a dsl filter these are about 5 euro and split your phone line between phone and dsl, there should be one in the box if not any pc world or the like will have one..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 504 ✭✭✭Loveless

yeah AidanKK it spot on there. Sounds like you don't have the splitter filter for Phone/DSL plugged into the line. * It's also recommend to put single socket Phone filters on any other phone points being used in the same house.*

Eircom usually give you one double splitter and two single splitters with their Netopia routers.

So does BT so he should already have it.

I'm on a 2Mb line from NTL and the only game I've had any issues with is team fortress 2 but from what I can tell thats a problem with the game.

    Halo 3 runs perfectly
