Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Laptop won't turn on

    Hi,

I am having a problem with my Fujitzu Siemans Amilo Pro laptop. Last Saturday when I pressed the power button the light would come on for about 4-5 seconds and then it would go dead. This happened using either the chrager or the battery on its own which rules out a problem with both. Now when I press in the power button the power light goes on and stays on but nothing shows up on the screen. I haven't messed around with it yet apart from taking the battery out and using the power supply on its own. I can shut the power off by holding the power button down again. Would anyone have experienced this before. Does it sound like a motherboard problem?

Try taking out the battery and PSU, then hold down the power button for 10 seconds. Plug it back in and try again.

    Long shot though :)

Did you remove a pen drive while it was powered down?

Remove the stick(s) of ram from the laptop and try turing it on with one stick at a time and see does it power on. If it works with one but not both then you've found the offending stick of ram.
