    Hi,

We just started our new angling network site and thought it might be interesting for you.

Basically it's a community like MySpace or Bebo combined with YouTube functions like Video uploads and so on.

If you want to take a look and maybe a free registration just visit:
    http://www.celtic-fishing.net

For any questions or ideas feel free to contact me :D

think its a good idea and i like the live chat option but like i said in another post, im a member of about 4 or 5 angling only fourms and sites but use none of them, great for the first couple of weeks and then the novelty wares off,
Boards has all topics so thats why i use it.

to be honest, with www.sea-angling-ireland.org about there is really no need for any other shore/boat forums/community areas etc etc

with around 1600 members its hard not to find someone just down the road who will give you hints and tips..

best of luck with it anyways ;)

    hey ;-)

yeah it's not thought as a competetition for sea-angling-ireland (which is a brilliant community) at all.

CF is not only about Sea Fishing.
It's more a general fishing community with pictures, videos and so on...

    Let's see what happens.

Thanks for your replies guys :D

I'm all for it since there's no real Irish site as far as i know that looks at trout and salmon fishing, or am I wrong?
Sea angling ireland is brilliant, the contribution of experienced fishermen is everything.
Wish there was one for our lakes and rivers.

Best of luck, i hope it grows and grows

the site isn't set up properly, can't access it now when i click on the link.

if you can get 40-50- regular anglers to contribute then you will succeed but you need to build it from grass roots level. I recommend contacting all clubs and offering to use your site as their respective notice boards.

    Hi,

thanks for letting me know ;)
Was playing with an auction software which messed up a bit.
    It's fine again now.

Yes think you're right I also planned to give away a limited amount of free hoodies and shirts. (already having a design in mind)

There is also an angling auction in testing.
If somebody is interested in it and would like to help me testing just let me know ;-)

    Cheers

I'll be happy to lend a hand, just pm me to let me know what i can do.

just remember, build up the site from grassroots level and take care of the regular posters and the site wont fail. Get too ambitious too quickly and all kinds of trouble will arise.
